Entrepreneurship
There has been multiple cases in which I have been exposed to entrepreneurship. The first time goes way back to a middle school project where we had to create a new product and market it to the public. My group created an umbrella that keeps you dryer than a normal one. A recent example takes place in my international business and operations management courses. Through Capsim rounds we had to choose a location for where our product will be sold and produced, decide if it was a high end or low end product, market and develop it through each round, and finance it through loans and other means.
The reason I chose to enroll in this class was because entrepreneurship is an important part of any business. I am currently on a real estate career path where I hope to excel and one day own and invest into multiple properties. I also have many aspirations when it comes to owning my own business or starting some sort of organization. This all requires entrepreneurship skills that I wish to gain through this course.

Fabiana, I really enjoyed hearing about your personal entrepreneurship experience. I also really liked how you spoke about specific situations rather than about a single person. I strongly agree with the point you made stating that entrepreneurship is key to any business venture in any industry and I was interested to see that you want to take an entrepreneurial role at some point in your life as well. Keep up the good work!

ReplyDeleteI think that your story of how you and your friends created an umbrella in middle school is wonderful and I can really see how that would inspire you because making something at such a young age have a lasting effect on someone. You are completely right, that entrepreneurship is something that everyone needs and I too think that this course will teach us so much about it.
