I think these elements fit together nicely. They all complement each other and are all working towards one main goal: find an innovative way to market and create this new product for sports fans to be able to benefit from our product.
- I am a senior in UF. I am applying to the Master of Science in Real Estate in this same institution. I am a huge gators fan and I love everything UF has to offer. I am a very creative and artistic person and I hope to do something with that in the future. I love to travel and i hope to acquire a job that allows me to do so. This business concept ties into my life in a way that tunes into my creative side and like thinking of innovative and new concepts.
- I am offering a solution and alternative to umbrellas in stadiums. As we all know, Florida can have bipolar weather and what seems like a good day can turn into a rainy one. This affects many students and individuals that attend UF football games and have to sit in the rain or deal with their view being obstructed. My solution is to come up with a sort of light weight backpack that carries a transparent protection over your head, with a film that can also protect from UV rays. Perhaps this can be further worked on to provide some sort of built in fan or cooler as well.
- I am offering this product to stadium gift shops that can make buying this product easily accessible in times where the need is urgent. They all have in common that merchandise aspect and can even personalize it to a team.
- Customers should care about my product because it is an easy solution to bad weather and annoying umbrellas. These will provide better protection from the rain than other alternative and will be more long lasting over short term solutions like cheap ponchos. It is there to protect the experience from being ruined.
- Something unique about this product is that there has not been anything created quite like it. It is something that brings comfort and protection as well as a way to avoid conflicts with other fans sitting behind someone with an umbrella that is obstructing many views.

Hi there! I like how simple, yet practical your idea is. I can definitely see the product being useful, and it seems like something that would be more comfortable than a plastic poncho. I would be concerned about how easy it is to use, though. Is this product something a person could easily and quickly put on by themselves? you mentioned it could be a backpack of some sort, so will it also function the same as any other backpack? These are questions that should probably be kept in mind, but I like where this is going.
ReplyDeleteFabiana, I really enjoyed hearing about the different market aspects of your product. I really like how you explained how the product relates to your creative side. For you customers, I think you should sell it in even more places other than the stadium and I also think you should describe a little more what kind of person would buy the product. I also liked how you compared your product to alternatives in your why, stating that is does the job more effectively and that nothing like it has been created, which shows your competitive advantage. Overall, I thought you did a great job on this assignment and cannot wait to hear more!

ReplyDeleteThis is such a cool idea and I completely understand where you are coming from especially down her in Florida where the weather is so bipolar like you said. It can just flip flop in a matter of t30 minutes from beautiful to a total downpour of rain. I really like how you already have ambitions to innovate upon your product even more with the thought of it eventually having a cooling aspect to it further down the road.

ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your idea and I feel like its a small edition that will provide a huge impact. Florida is absolutely bipolar and there have been so many times that it starts raining and having your edition would be a great help. I think overall your idea is great, it will provide profit and benefit students as well as families. I could definitely see this going fully through and being inputted.
