1) Tenaciousness is a competency...
- I have used various methods to stay disciplined and on track with this course. I think the most important skills that have helped me succeed in this course is avoiding procrastination at all costs. I always think one week ahead. This has helped me manage my time better and never miss an assignment. I have been able to use this skill as a tool to help me think of my product and its time line more clearly.
- One must be prepared to fail or make silly mistakes along the way and this should be perceived as a learning aid. I think I have gained tenacious skills because when faced with hardships, I find the will to persevere. I remind myself that I have gotten this far and no matter the setback, moving forward is the only option. Some experiences that have contributed to this is when I feel that the service or opportunity I have been researching is no longer something I feel like I can promote or add onto. There has been times that I have to start at square one, but this is something that is learned through trial and error.
- Do not procrastinate.
- Make an agenda or list out some steps that can make a tedious process more organized mentally.
- Do not feel incompetent when something goes wrong, take it as a beneficial lesson for your next trial or assignment.

Fabiana, I agree with you 100% on your answer to the first question. I also believe that getting things done ahead of time is very key to success in this class. My favorite part of this post was in your second answer, when you spoke about persevering in tough times and looking back on them as learning periods. I believe this is key to a positive mindset and self-confidence. I also really liked the tips you gave to the students and I believe they will be very helpful in giving someone a blueprint for success in this class. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteHey Fabiana,
ReplyDeleteI love your post. I can totally agree and relate. Getting things ahead of time is a lot helpful especially that assignments are due by noon. I like your positivity regarding this class and the assignments and not getting
Upset but rather viewing them as learning outcomes. I also appreciate your advice to new incoming students because the advice you gave was meaningful and inspiring. I think you did an amazing job overall.
