30A – Final Reflection

Looking back at this semester, many assignments have taught me valuable lessons about entrepreneurship. Beginning with the bug list, this assignments was the catalyst of my entrepreneurial journey through this course. It put me in a mindset where I began to evaluate everything around me and its purpose and whether it could be improved upon. The most formative assignments I've had are those that bring failure into light. These assignments made me accept my failures as something good and educational. This is something I will remember in the years to come as I enter graduate school and my future profession in business. My most joyous experience was when we had to ask others what they thought our strengths were and who we were as a person, and how our characteristics would help us in the future. I liked hearing what other people thought of me and my potential success, they brought up a lot of points that I had not realized they noticed and that brought me joy. I am most proud of accomplishing this entire course, these assignments have all been transformative and have helped me shift my perspective towards a more entrepreneurial mindset. I can see new opportunities and seek out potential growth. This has made me a more observant and analytical person when I approach new problems. I would recommend future students to manage their time wisely. Do the assignments in the beginning of the week, maybe even go ahead. Time management is key and it was what drove my success in this course. I would also advise them to keep an open mind, there is opportunity in every single thing we do. I would also tell them that failure is ok and it is even something that should be celebrated, it is not a reason to quit rather more of a reason to keep going.

  1. Fabiana, it was really cool to hear your thoughts about the various assignments and experiences you have had in this course. I also thought that the bug list assignment was a great first step in introducing us to entrepreneurship and the mindset and using it in the real world. I think assignments going over our failures were very helpful, and they really put a lot of life experiences in perspective that help us out a lot. I think now being able to see opportunities in the world rather than problems is something very helpful I gained from the course that you mentioned. Keep up the good work!

  2. Fabiana,
I too thought that the bug list was a great introductory assignment in the class. It really opened the door for us to be imaginative and try and test our boundaries. I really liked your point about how you thought the most joyous experience was asking others what our strengths were. It really made you think about who you are as a person and how others truly think of us. Great work I thought you did amazing all year long.

  3. Hey Fabiana,
I totally agree with you on the most memorable part was asking others about our "special sauce" and mentioned it in my final reflection as well. It really showed how others portrayed you I their minds and what they thought made you unique to them. I honestly completely forgot about the bug list assignment until I read your reflection but I totally agree it really made you think and pay attention to detail. Overall I have read most of your work all year long and think you did an amazing job.

  4. Hey Fabiana,
I agree with you that the bug list was a great way to start the course. It made us evaluate our surroundings and think out of the box on how we can improve them. I also like how your favorite assignment was when we had to identify our strengths. That was an assignment we were able to reflect on how we think of ourselves and how others think of us.
